EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (ECCD)

We provide a safe and caring space where children aged 2 to 5 years learn to play, socialise, learn new skills and positive behaviour with trained ECCD practitioners.

AFTER SCHOOL CARE PROGRAMMES

The objective of the After school Care Programme is that every child attending the programme will improve in reading and writing, and have good interpersonal skills and a high level of self confidence.The children participate in reading clubs, life skills discussions, arts and crafts, supervised play and sports. They are assisted with their homework and projects.

KIDS CLUBS

Keeping children safe on the weekends, whilst having fun and learning to live a positive life is our goal for Kids Clubs.

We create opportunities for children to come together on weekends to have fun, discuss life issues and develop their skills and talents under the supervision of the youth mentors.

HOLIDAY PROGRAMMES

Preventing children from danger, destructive behaviour and boredom during school holidays, while promoting physical activity, social interaction and creativity is the reason why Holiday programmes are organised at Sinosizo Siyaphambili.

The staff and youth leaders organise exciting programmes to keep the children safe and engaged in entertaining and constructive activities during the school holidays.

CHILD PROTECTION

Empowering children about their right to be protected from abuse and neglect, equips them to recognise and address situations where their right is being compromised. It helps to give them a sense of self awareness and dignity.

We train our junior youth, aged 10 to 12 years old in Child Protection to equip them with skills and knowledge to protect themselves from harm, danger, abuse, trafficking and exploitation. They also learn the importance of reporting and how to report incidents of abuse and neglect. The junior youth are mentored to share the information with other children and their families in order to build more informed and safe communities.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Sinosizo Siyaphambili believes that the potential that young people have to become the best version of themselves must be nurtured and supported to become a reality.

We take youth through a series of life skills and personal development training to broaden their minds, enhance their sense of self worth, promote good decision making and develop a community mindset.

Youth get the opportunity to attend camps where they develop their leadership skills, learn effective teamwork and conquer their fears.

YOUTH CLUBS

The Youth today face various challenges navigating their way through adolescence and early adulthood.

We provide safe spaces for youth to speak about issues that affect them and develop solutions.

MENTORING PROGRAMME

The Mentoring programme helps to connects mentors with young people who need their guidance and support. It gives the youth the opportunity to learn from the mentors experiences, people who they know and trust .

The alumni of Sinosizo Siyaphambili provide mentorship to the youth within the programme , guiding and supporting them through the challenges they face, and being positive role models.

The commitment and dedication of this incredible team of youth mentors speaks volumes for the quality of young people that the organisation develops.

CAREER GUIDANCE

Career guidance opportunities for youth are created through partnerships and networking. The youth are assisted to identify their interests and abilities in order to make informed career choices. Sinosizo Siyaphambili supports them to access tertiary institutions.

SCHOOL AWARENESS

Talks, discussions, dialogues and edutainment are held with local schools to highlight and discuss issues affecting learners and develop coping strategies and solutions. This service is offered to schools to help alleviate the burden that educators often carry to hold the emotional well being of the learners. Counselling and mentoring is offered to the schools as well.

COMMUNITY AWARENESS AND ADVOCACY

Children live within family and community structures which can either promote or hinder their chances of a safe, healthy and meaningful life. Lack of social support, exposure to violence and crime and limited access to resources may negatively impact the child’s development. A well functioning supportive community is crucial for the healthy development of a child.

Sinosizo Siyaphambili works with local stakeholders to run awareness and advocacy campaigns in the local community to strengthen community support for the protection and healthy development of children and family.
